You would come to see me if you are dealing with stressors in your life, maybe experiencing anxiety around job, family, school or social situations. Trying to deal with grief and loss in your life, unhelpful behaviour patterns. Having difficulties coping with life situations. Going through life transitions. Or you would like to understand yourself and your life better, garner better communication skills and confidence and relationships.
I believe that everybody has tools and resources within themselves that I highlight and unlock these within a client to show them they can draw on their own resources to bring about the process of change and hope for the future.
My commitment to you is to create a safe space for you, where you are able to just be yourself and express whatever is going on for you. Through listening deeply and being present for you I provide a safe confidential and non judgmental space where you can be truly listened to.
My practice is based on compassion, integrity, authenticity and my warm and empathic nature as mentioned by my clients.
Your therapy sessions are hourly and upon agreement with the client can go longer.
I offer both face-to-face sessions and online sessions via zoom
My approach would be considered holistic, I incorporate the mind, body and soul in my sessions and have a particular focus on emotions. I tailor my sessions to suit the client and in collaboration with the client can work out strategies and ways forward to bring about change in their lives.
I believe to understand a person’s world all areas of their lives need to be explored, the bio, psycho and social. I mainly use a person centered approach which offers empathy, care and kindness. Additionally, I can use aspects of emotion focused therapy (EFT) to bring about awareness of stuck emotions in the safety of the therapy session. I also can incorporate other evidence-based modalities that I feel may help the client. I believe that one modality does not suit all and that everyone is an individual.
